Ketchum-Downtown YMCA

nterested in volunteering and using your talents to encourage, guide and train young athletes at the Y? Our Jr. Clippers Youth Basketball program is offered in partnership with the Clippers, and we rely on volunteers to support our leagues. Our volunteers are vital in helping us teach strong Y values through sports. Through positive coaching, our Jr. Clippers Basketball League teaches young athletes the fundamentals of the game while building their confidence, getting them active, and helping them learn valuable lessons in teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership. Our Jr. Clippers Basketball league will run Year round in 2023, with various seasons, and is open to both boys and girls. We make sure each child participates, regardless of skill level. Volunteering requires a 6-8 week commitment for 2 hours a week per season. 1 hour for practice and 1 hour for games. Must be 16 years of age to volunteer as a score keeper, coach, or assistant coach.
