We are excited to invite individuals interested in working in service to the community, to join us as volunteers at the Westchester Family YMCA. At the YMCA, we believe in fostering a sense of community, well-being, and growth. Our volunteers play a crucial role in making a positive impact on the lives of others. If you are passionate about making a difference and contributing to the well-being of our community, we invite you to be part of our team of volunteers. Why Volunteer with the YMCA? Community Impact: Contribute to initiatives that directly benefit our local community. Personal Growth: Develop new skills, build confidence, and expand your network. Wellness: Support health and well-being programs that empower individuals to lead healthier lives. Fun and Fulfillment: Join a dynamic and supportive team that values camaraderie and shared goals. How You Can Get Involved Special Community Events: Help other volunteers plan, organize and implement community events. Program Assistance: Help with various YMCA programs and events. Mentorship: Guide and inspire others through mentorship opportunities. Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks to keep our operations running smoothly. Lead a Program: Do you have a special interest/skill you would like to share? We are looking for adults to lead programs such as knitting, book club, table tennis, etc.. Child Activity Center Storytime Readers: Share you love of reading with youth members (ages 1yr-7yrs) in our Child Activity Center. Quarterly In-Community Service: Help others in the community as we volunteer for different service projects each quarter. The 'Y Day of Service' may include: helping beautify the Westchester Library; coastal clean-up, providing food to those with food insecurity.
