The East & West Valley Family YMCAs are searching for dynamic, experienced, hard-working people to be positive role models for children this summer! Gain valuable training and hands-on experience working with kids in a beautiful outdoor environment. Earn volunteer service hours while making a difference in the lives of children. The following are required to attend Camp Whittle: - Clear a California Live Scan fingerprinting before July 15 - Complete all paperwork before July 15 - Complete online YMCA Child Abuse Prevention Courses before July 15 - Complete 24 hours of ACA required Volunteer Staff Training (see training dates below) - First-year counselors are required to complete an interview DATES TO REMEMBER: - VolunteerMatters sign-up Due: July 15 - Paperwork & Live Scan Due: July 15 - Mandatory Staff Trainings: - Sunday, June 14: Zoom Training - Saturday, June 27 & Sunday June 28: At the East Valley Family YMCA - Sunday, July 12: Zoom Training Rally Night: Monday, July 20 - CAMP!: July 26 to August 1 CPR, First Aid & Basic Water Rescue Training Required and Provided!
