Mid Valley Family YMCA

Mid Valley YMCA is searching for motivated, experienced and energetic people to be positive role models for children this summer! Summer Sleep Away Camp will take place at Camp Whittle located in Bear Bear, CA, from June 14th-20th. The Mid Valley Family YMCA will be taking a group of youth, grades 3-8, for an incredible week of fun in the mountains. At the Y, camping focuses on skill development, character growth, and forming lasting friendships. Out camps are places where kids become a community, as they engage in social, physical and educational activities that teach how to be independent, while still team-building. Camping teaches self-reliance and a love for nature and the outdoors, while cultivating positive attitudes and skills that encourage character development and leadership. Mid Valley is seeking 40 volunteers to support this program; must be 18 years or older. Volunteers will gain valuable training & hands on experience working with kids in a beautiful outdoor environment, earn a minimum of 100 volunteer service hours, all while making a difference in the lives of children.
