Torrance-South Bay YMCA

Volunteers for the Torrance-South Bay YMCA membership department will assist Membership staff to create a welcoming environment for all by warmly greeting all members and guests. They will assist with access control by confirming all members scan their barcode upon entry to ensure their membership is active and up to date. This includes verifying the photo on file matches the individual entering; and notifying members of any issue with their account, such as no waiver on file or account suspension, so they may resolve the issue with a membership staff. Volunteers will also assist staff in providing a welcoming and thorough tour of the facility to any prospective member. Volunteers may also help at facility events with tasks such as set up, games, and other activities.
