Collins & Katz Family YMCA
YMCA is searching for dynamic, experienced, hard-working people to be positive role models for youth this summer! Summer Sleep Away Camp takes place at Camp Whittle/Marcil located in Big Bear, California. YMCA will be taking a group of youth, ages 8-17 (3-12th grade), for an incredible week in the mountains. Camping at the Y is all about learning skills, developing character and making friends. Our camps are places where kids become a community as they engage in social, physical and educational activities that teach how to be more independent and how to contribute to a group. Camping teaches self-reliance, a love for nature and the outdoors, and the development of attitudes and practices that build character and leadership. Volunteers may apply for either Counselor or Director positions for the camp. Online and in-person trainings are mandatory for the positions. Gain valuable training and hands on experience working with kids in a beautiful outdoor environment. Earn a minimum 100 volunteer service hours while making a difference in the lives of children.
