YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles
The YMCA Early Learning Readiness (ELR) program provides a stimulating environment to help children (0-5 years) develop the physical, verbal, and social skills which they'll need to be school-ready. During the program, caregivers learn how children develop and how to encourage skill building at home. Before early learners walk into a school classroom, their primary caregivers at home are their first teachers. Through this Caregiver & Child class, family will find a safe, fun place to play, explore, and learn through songs, stories, and family activities with their children. The YMCA is seeking program volunteers to assist with program set-up and program clean-up and to also assist the ELR Instructor with tasks during the program session, such as assisting with prepping supplies and materials, helping families check-in and greeting families when they arrive. Volunteers are needed at the following YMCA locations: - Wilmington YMCA - Gardena-Carson Family YMCA - Weingart East Los Aneles YMCA - Southeast Rio Vista YMCA at Maywood - Mid Valley Family YMCA (Van Nuys) - East Valley Family YMCA (North Hollywood) - Weingart YMCA Wellness & Aquatics Center (South LA) - Crenshaw Family YMCA (South Central LA/Baldwin Hills) - Kolar Family YMCA at Furman Park (Downey) - Montebello Commerce YMCA - Santa Clarita Valley Family YMCA - Antelope Valley Family YMCA
