North Valley Family YMCA

The North Valley Family YMCA at Porter Ranch is searching for dynamic, experienced, hard-working people to be positive role models for children this summer! Gain valuable training and hands on experience working with kids in a beautiful outdoor environment. Earn up to 120 volunteer service hours while making a difference in the lives of children. The following are required to attend Camp Whittle: -MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD by June 28, 2026. - Clear a California Live Scan fingerprinting* before MAY 1 (*only if you have not been live scanned/electronic finger printed as a volunteer for LA Association YMCA in the last 2 years) - Complete all paperwork on Camp Docs before June 14, 2026. - Complete online YMCA Child Abuse Prevention Courses before June 14, 2026. - Complete 24 hours of ACA required Volunteer Staff Training, including CPR/First Aid/Basic Water Rescue Training. Training dates will be emailed out to staff. Training will be paid for by YMCA. - All counselors are required to complete an interview, online or in person.
