North Valley Family YMCA
The North Valley Family YMCA at Porter Ranch is searching for dynamic, experienced, hard-working people to be positive role models for children this summer! Gain valuable training and hands on experience working with kids in a beautiful outdoor environment. Earn up to 120 volunteer service hours while making a difference in the lives of children. The following are required to attend Camp Whittle: - MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD by June 28, 2026. - Complete an interview, online or in person. - Clear a California Live Scan fingerprinting* (*only if you have not been live scanned/electronic finger printed as a volunteer for LA Association YMCA in the last 2 years) - Complete all paperwork on Camp Docs before June 14, 2026. - Complete online YMCA Child Abuse Prevention Courses before June 14, 2026. - Complete 24 hours of ACA required Volunteer Staff Training, including CPR/First Aid/Basic Water Rescue Training; Training will be paid for by YMCA. Training Dates: - May 11: 6-8:30pm - May 30 - Sun. May 31: Overnight Training - June 8: 6-8pm - June 25: 6-7pm (online)
