West Valley Family YMCA The West Valley Family YMCA is looking for enthusiastic and dependable volunteers to support our Youth Sports programs as a Volunteer Youth Sports Coach. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with kids, staying active, and making a positive impact in the community. Volunteers may assist with a variety of sports, including basketball, soccer, and ball hockey. As a Youth Sports Coach, you will help lead practices, teach basic skills, encourage teamwork, and create a fun and supportive environment for young athletes. No prior coaching experience is required—just a positive attitude, patience, and a willingness to learn. Sports Include: Soccer Basketball Volleyball T-Ball Flag Football Responsibilities Include: Assisting with youth sports practices and games Teaching basic sports skills and sportsmanship Encouraging participation and teamwork Helping create a safe and fun experience for all players Volunteer Requirements: Minimum age: 18 years old Must enjoy working with children and being part of a team Commitment to YMCA values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility All volunteers must complete a Live Scan fingerprinting process through the YMCA after submitting and completing the volunteer application.
