Safety Information To volunteer at Crenshaw Family YMCA, all volunteers must meet the following requirements before their first shift: Signed volunteer waiver — required to be present in the building Live Scan clearance — a background check that must be completed and cleared prior to volunteering Registered and active on Volunteer Matters — all volunteers must be in our system before serving Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Training — required for all volunteers Bullying Prevention Training — required for all volunteers All requirements must be completed and verified before you begin. If you are unsure of your status, please visit the front desk, and we will help get you cleared.
We understand that life happens. If you are unable to make your scheduled volunteer shift, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance so we can make arrangements. Consistent no-shows without notice may affect your ability to volunteer with us in the future. We appreciate your commitment to the community and to the people counting on you.
